The Equity Fund is growing quickly to meet the needs of philanthropy, our grantee partners, and the communities they serve to build power and win equitable climate and clean energy policies. 

Our staff have backgrounds in community organizing, policy advocacy, state and local government, racial and environmental justice, energy equity, public health, economic development, immigration rights, philanthropy, and more. Collectively, our work is to build power in frontline Black, Latinx, Asian American and Pacific Islander, and Indigenous communities fighting climate change.

Human Resources Associate (Part-Time)

The Human Resources Associate (HR Associate) is a permanent, part-time (25 hours/week) position, reporting to the Human Resources Director, People & Culture (HR Director). The HR Associate is a crucial, multifaceted position that is primarily responsible for full-cycle recruitment, onboarding and offboarding staff, performance management, benefits administration, training and development, and event planning. The HR Associate will possess strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively. To be successful in this position, a general understanding of HR practices and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity is essential to the credibility, effectiveness, and efficiency of the Human Resources department.

Request for Proposals:
Policy Playbook Consultant

The Climate and Clean Energy Equity Fund is seeking a consultant to update one of its five compendiums of climate and clean energy legislation that has been introduced or passed in state legislatures across the country, known as “policy playbooks.” The work will focus on updating the playbook titled “Utility Reform Policy and Renewable Energy Target Examples” and will be conducted in the fall and winter of 2024-2025.

Interested parties can find details in this PDF and should follow proposal submission instructions detailed within. Submissions must be received no later than November 13, 2024. We will considered proposals on a rolling basis.

Strategic Partnerships Manager

The Strategic Partnerships Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of work that contributes to the implementation of key goals and deliverables for the organization’s development (fundraising) and strategic partnership goals and workstreams. This includes meeting deliverables related to cultivating and managing new and existing funder relationships, raising resources, and expanding existing philanthropic partnerships.

Finance Associate

The Finance Associate is a permanent, part-time (25 hours/week) position, reporting to the Finance Manager. The Finance Associate is a crucial, multifaceted position that is primarily responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, coordinating payroll, and assisting with onboarding new staff to financial processes and policies. The Finance Associate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively. To be successful in this position, a high level of accuracy and confidentiality is essential to the effectiveness and efficiency of the Finance department.

The Climate and Clean Energy Equity Fund is inviting proposals from qualified firms or independent contractors to provide Marketing and Communications support on key deliverables over a three-month period beginning in February 2024.
